Lenovo has just entered the mobile phone industry a few years ago and I have to say that they are slowly gaining traction. Although Samsung and Apple are still frontrunners when it comes to mobile phones these days, one cannot argue that Lenovo has created some stunning phones in their lineup.
In this article, we are going to talk about the Lenovo K80. This is considered to be a midrange phone but does it compete with other midrange phones on the market? We will find out.
Lenovo makes their phones as simple as possible and that is evident on the design aspect. The design is pretty much the same as that of the older iPhone models, albeit much sturdier.
The front of the Lenovo K80 is where the front camera, LED notification light, the display, and 3 illuminated capacitative buttons. The mouthpiece that acts as the phone’s microphone is just located beneath the mobile phone.
On the top of the phone, you will see the 3.5mm headphone jack. There is a slight variance to the button placements in this phone. The power and volume controls which are normally placed on the right side of the device is now located on the left and the microSD and micro SIM slots are now located on the right. This is nothing to be worried about but it is a little bit unique that the company made it this way.
The Lenovo K80 comes with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080 and a pixel density of 403ppi. Viewing angles are amazing and the color just pops out. Also, the 5.5-inch display is already quite good if you’re going to look at this phone as a media device.
The camera of the Lenovo K80 is pretty good. It comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and optical image stabilization technology and the phone also comes with a 5-megapixel front camera.
This mobile phone’s camera performs quite well even in low-lit conditions. It still doesn’t perform quite on par with high-end phones but it does the job pretty well. If you’re looking for this phone as a carry-on camera, then you will be happy with the Lenovo K80.
Lenovo has always teamed up with Intel for their processors. Intel is an amazing company that is known to create desktop and laptop processors and they are not new to this kind of business.
Anyway, the Lenovo K80 comes with the Intel Atom Z3560 quad-core processor that is clocked at 1.8GHz. It also comes with the PowerVR G6400 GPU and 2GB of RAM. And to power everything on this phone, it also comes with a hefty 4,000 MaH battery!
And lastly, the Lenovo K80 comes with 4G LTE support. To use this feature without compromise, I highly recommend you get a mobile phone signal booster to increase this phone’s signal reception even further.
The Lenovo K80 is quite a good midrange phone and if you’re someone on a tight budget looking for a good phone, then the Lenovo K80 should come into mind.
